Kick across Romania

8 days tour

A comprehensive presentation covering different regions of Romania, this tour has a bit of everything for everyone. You will therefore experience four different faces of the country: medieval Transylvania, traditional Bukovina, ancestral Maramures and fast beat Wallachia. The tour takes in the royal castle in Sinaia, the medieval towns of Brasov, Sibiu and Cluj, the fortress town of Sighisoara, Bukovina’s world famous painted monasteries, the timber architecture of Maramures and the impressive star-shaped fortress of Alba Iulia. Apart from that, the tour provides a unique opportunity to witness age old traditions such as pottery, egg painting and wood carving.

A fine presentation of many different regions of Romania, a good introduction to the towns and fortifications in Transylvania (Sibiu, Sighisoara, Brasov plus Bran, coined as Dracula’s Castle), the UNESCO-listed timber architecture of Maramures and painted monasteries of Bukovina, respectively the excellent Horezu pottery and interesting history of Wallachia
